I (absentmindedly) took away a sync path, which deleted all of my music files on Quinn (my 8GB zune’s name). I got the sync path back, and I’ve been syncing all of my music back on Quinn for a few days now.
Problem is, when I try to sync, a message pops up and reads:
"NOT ENOUGH SPACE. Youve selected more content than will fit on your Zune. To Review and Update your selection,s view Edit Sync Groups"
Ive only used 3.67 GB and I have 4.26 GB free. WHAT IS WRONG HERE!
Perhaps you put a really really big file on one of your Zune’s file paths without realizing it. Double-check all the folders that are file paths, and make sure nothing but the songs, movies, pictures, etc. are what you want them to be. Or, you could take the Zune’s advice and check your sync groups to make sure you’re not syncing something you don’t want to be. What could’ve happened is there was a mistake in the file path and you’re putting on very big files, such as a program or two. Otherwise, you may want to hard reset your Zune (hold the back and up buttons for 5-10 seconds), erase all your file paths and put them back on. If that doesn’t work, uninstall the Zune software and find an updated version if there is one and download that. If there isn’t, re-install the Zune software. Finally, you may need to restart your computer after all that.
If all else fails, get a new Zune with more memory. Used 30GB Zunes can cost as little as $100.00.
Hope this helps!
