2 CNET Microsoft Zune HD Reviewhttp://shrinkalink.com/33146 As the high-profile alternative to Apple’s iPod portable media player, the Zune has endured an unfair share of jokes and scorn. Proving the adage that “what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger,” Microsoft has taken four years’-worth of hard knocks and forged the Zune HD. As one of the only iPod alternatives that can match and surpass the iPod Touch in beauty and pricing, the 16GB ($219) and 32GB ($289) Zune HD also includes a unique stable of features worthy of Apple’s envy.

I just got this today, and ive used to the ipod touch before you say i havent. And its honestly hands down, the best! Amazing sound quality and amazing picture quality(hints the name Zune HD). I love the web browser. And ive been looking around at apps for the Zune. Microsoft IS going to have ALOT more apps, but no 3rd party apps like from ipod. They say they have alot on their plate right now, but it WILL soon speed up, just have some patience.

  10. I went to Best Buy …
I went to Best Buy and compared iPod Touch and the Zune HD for myself. I found the Zune HD to have superior sound and video quality. I also liked the feature of being able to hook the Zune to my HDTV and watch movies. Both the iPod Touch and the Zune HD are easy to navigate and have their own platform to download and sync media files. In short, both devices are good however in my opinion, Zune HD is hands down the better of the two. I know what I want for Christmas.

  11. Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
