I’m getting a new phone in a month, I have narrowed it down to the Blackberry bold and the HTC HD 7 (aka windows phone)
I need reviews on the phones and your past experiences with them (pros’s, con’s, would you recommend the phone, etc.)

Blackberry is getting old and slow and will be gone in the next 5 years. Windows Phone 7 is fresh, new and exciting. They have ability to edit office documents, and to connect to an XBOX Live account to earn gamerpoints right from the phone. It’s design is notably different from the competition and is very streamlined and you will come to appreciate the little things in the operating system.
The pro’s of Windows Phone 7
-The ability to edit Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and Powerpoint presentations
-The ability to connect to an XBOX Live account to earn gamerpoints and edit your avatar
-The built-in Facebook functionality. You can post status updates, view your wall, like and comment on things, view your and your friends photo’s and have a fast an easy way to upload pictures to Facebook
-A camera button that will take you right to the camera. No need to wait and find the application and wait for it to load and miss that perfect shot, its easily accessible with a touch of a button
-Live Tiles which bring you all the information you need right to the Start Screen without the need to delve into apps
-A nice growing app store with many major apps such as Angry Birds and Plants versus Zombies just to name a few
-It is different from the other mobile platforms and is designed in a unique way
Con’s of Windows Phone 7
-A new platform doesn’t always have as many apps as the top phones that have been out for years and have had time to attract developers. This means that Windows Phone 7 won’t have as many fart apps as the competiton it will have all the apps that are well known.

I don’t know much about Blackberry but I can assure you this: it will be obsolete by 2015.

Go with Windows Phone 7. You will not regret it.

so i use the galaxy SL. i have connectify on my pc (windows 7). the problem is i cannot connect my phone to my pc via wifi. i searched the internet and found a solution. it goes like this-

"After reviewing activity on several forums the past few days, it is clear this is a problem with the tab itself. It is not a problem with the actual wifi router. Commonality to everyone with problem seems to be:
1. Galaxy tab makes initial connection to wifi without problem.
2. You use tab to connect to wifi with same name but the router has been rebooted, or it is a different wifi roouter with same name but different location. This connection will work fine.
3. Now when you return to the initial wifi location, it will not connect. If just says. "obtianing IP address"
I found this fix that works for me. I also found mention that future firmware upgrade will address this issue.

ok guys I got a fix for this.

The problem is that the galaxy tab is getting an IP address from your router and holding on to it. If a new device comes onto the network it will try to reassign you an IP but the galaxy tab will not allow, still wanting the old IP address.

The Fix is to create a static IP address. Go into wifi settings click menu and then advanced. Look up your dns server, gateway and netmask and set the corresponding fields in your galaxy tab settings. Make sure to also see what the IP range that your router can give (mine was 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.240)

Also dont forget to click use static IP address. I used 192.168.1.20 because I will never have 18 wifi devices on my network at once.

I hope this helps becuase I was banigng my head over the table for 3 days trying to fix this.

Oh and u have to turn static off when you use your wifi at another location "

now in the forth-last line of that paragraph, it says to look up "dns server, gateway and netmask"
and "what IP range that your router can give (mine was 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.240)"

now i cant figure out how to look up my dns server, gateway, netmask and IP range of my router. PLEASE help i wont be able to use wifi otherwise. m a rookie so please a step by step answer will really be helpful

Try to restore to factory settings and start over again

Brand new game Lucky Lane Bowling came out on 11/11 and here is my impressions of it. It’s got cute graphics, it reminds me of a Wii game, the swiping control is very easy and the unlockable content is nice too. Good game!

I’m sorry I’m not being lazy but I’M TIRED OF WATCHING AND READING BIASED REVIEWS of Apple Fanboys and Adroid Lovers.
Please give me a professional opinion.

Here’s what I know so far (maybe wrong…): (these things are what I concern the most)
iPhone 4S:
dual-core 1.0 GHz
500GB Ram
8 MPs with better optic which MAYBE take better picture
Retina (I LOVE Retina, can never go back to 3GS) but a lame LCD display
only support T-mobile edge network (not even 3G, I use T-mobile)

Galaxy SII:
Most powerful Adroid phone… even better than the new Galaxy Nexus.
dual-core 1.2 – 1.5 GHz
1GB Ram
8 MPs
Super AMOLED Plus (which is AWESOME…) but I don’t know if the screen look like 3GS or not, because I DO NOT like 3GS screen.
I heard people say that you can do lot of cool thing on Adroid, but maybe confusing… because I DO NOT LIKE WINDOW 7 (like after half year of used, don’t know where stuffs are….)
the only thing I don’t like is it made of cheap looking plastic (no I’m very careful, I never use cases, when I buy the $700 phone, I want people to know that i use a $700 phone)

I have Macbook, I used iTunes for ages. I don’t know how syncing in Adroid work (for Music).

Please tell what would you choose if you in my position.

And if you want to share some info. on below phones, that’s would be awesome!
Motorola Droid Razr
HTC Evo 4G
Galaxy Nexus

The Droid Razr is a fantastic phone. The screen is HUGE, and you cannot beat the 4g. The processing is faster than the iPhone, but it’s also much larger which, for some is a drawback for some reason. That’s up to you. Has SuperAmoleod display. THis also applies to the Samsung phones… but the google sync system works with both macs and windows because it’s not specific to either.

The Samsung is also 4g, a great phone, and has a faster processor than the iPhone. The screen is also larger and has a slightly better display than the Razr. The camera is better than either other phone because, even while it’s only 5mp, the NO SHUTTER LAG makes it the best camera out there. No delay, just shoot and snap for a perfect picture. Also has SuperAmelod.

The iPhone will integrate better with iTunes and Mac, just because it’s also an Apple. If that’s important to you, that’s where to go. Droid will still allow you to integrate your MP3s to the google player, put you will have to spend some time moving them all over instead of just syncing. The processing is worse, no 4g, so their only upside is the sync ability if you don’t want to liberate your music and photos from the Apple network.

I am… however… wishing I would have waiting for the New Galaxy Nexus. This phone will blow EVERYTHING out of the water. Best display, best camera, best processor, very true google experience. This will be the end of all phones for this generation.

Overall, I think the Razr beats them all out (as far as the ones available right now, anyway), which is why I went with that after reading hundreds of reviews on all 3 of them.
The Galaxy has the camera, but otherwise is just a little less responsive than the Razr as far as processing speeds and screen scroll/app loads.
The iPhone is the worst of the three with smaller screen, laggy interface, and no great tech specs. However, you can’t beat the integration if you are otherwise an Apple user.

No matter what you chose, you’ll have a great phone!

Should point out that "Siri" is also available on the Droid system but it’s called "Iris" and is the exact same thing. It started off as a joke for Google folks making fun of Apple by showing them they could do it in 8 hours. It’s since then become one of the best apps out there for Google.

The iPhone girl below my post has very valid points, just thought I’d through that out there for other readers!
