I have a iPod touch 2G and was planning to get the 3G but the Zune HD looks awesome. Help please. Thanks!
Having received my Zune HD over the weekend, I can say that it’s a great alternative to the iPod Touch. I highly recommend it.
The screen clarity is amazing. Even though the screen itself is not HD it will remind you of the really sharp HD TVs you see in stores.
The device itself is very small and compact. This is unlike previous Zune models where the actual device did not look or feel as good as an iPod.
The HD radio is an improvement, but not something you should base your decision on.
What really makes the Zune HD superior to the iPod is not the device itself, but the Zune service that comes with it. For $15 a month you get access to unlimited downloads with the Zune pass. If you’ve never experienced a subscription music service before, prepare to be "wowed". The Zune pass is superior to other services since you get to keep 10 songs each month. So you’re really paying only $5 a month. You won’t get this with the iPod.
The Zune software is also better than iTunes. The new Smart DJ feature is amazing. If you have a Zune pass, it’s like having an amped up version of Pandora, with a lot more music.
Hope this helps. Good luck with your decision!
I have looked online and most of the reviews for the available FM transmitters are awful. I dont want to spend $50-$75 on something that doesnt work. Thanks.
yeah most the fm transmitters are terrible for the zune right now what i use is the tape deck thing don’t know what its called but you can get it at kmart or walmart for $10 all it is is a tape with a an audio wire coming out of it but it works fine for me but thats becuase i have a tape deck still if you don’t you may just have to wait
How do I do this?
1. In the Zune program click on music>list.
2. Right click on the information you want to change then change it.
If this does not work for you and you are trying to edit artists/albums that are listed as Unknown, then…
1. Go to My Documents>My Music>Zune.
2. Create a folder for the artist.
3. Move the music from the Unknown folder to the new folder.
4. Go back to your Zune program and make the changes as listed in the first part of these instructions.
This usually works.
I have an original zune. I want to know if i do buy a zune hd, will i be able to retrieve the songs i already have and put them on the zune hd.
well you have to update the software to version 4.0 then there is no problems…your zune 30 can also be updated so it can be used with the 4.0 software.
i just took songs that i put on my 120GB (also had them on my 30GB before i got the 120GB) and put them on my HD yesterday…all went smoothly. same goes for vids and podcasts, and pics.
well,i have a zune and i was looking on the website and theres this thing called the zune pass and it lets you dowload all you want for a month if you pay them 14.95. What happens to the songs you got if you stop paying? it made it sound like they would go away when you stop but do you still get to keep them on your zune?
when you get the pass, you are allowed to download and unlimited amount of music within a month. here’s the catch: after the month is over, you can no longer listen to the music on you Zune unless you renew the pass. The music will stay on your Zune unless you delete it. It will just say that you don’t have the rights to the songs. If you renew the pass, you can connect your Zune to your computer, and the system will update the Zune so you can listen to the music again without having to download it again.
